I thought that the writing was tight but that the images really made this a book worth considering. One aspect of the writing that I did love was the quick flips between plot lines, increasing the dream-like nature of the story. I mentioned that the writing was tight. Several scenes are almost devoid of dialogue, Dave McKean portrays them with the blurred hallucinations of a fevered nightmare.
