From Hell by Alan Moore, Illustrated by Eddie Campbell, Pete Mullins

When I picked this up, I expected something like Watchmen, but this was something else entirely. There is such breadth in it, that it is more like a work of literature. There are themes of God and time, ritual, myth, and magic, and it’s all framed in the gruesome crimes of Jack the Ripper. This is something I’ll have to read again, as I skipped the copious endnotes on this read.
